Fabric – Sieve Cloths Width Options
We are able to produce sieve cloths within the width range of 090-240 cm, according to the customer’s specifications. We also have the capacities to produce the widths shorter than 090 cm on our looms, as specific widths. We are able to produce and process treated fabrics (fixing in hot air, etc) in the loom-finished width up to max. 160 cm.
- Monifilament sieve cloths are fabrics made of 100% PE or PA synthetic fibres.
- Long-term heat resistance PA 95°C, PE 70°C
- Acid fastness: PA – poor, PE – good
- Caustic fastness: PA – good, PE – good
- Softening temperature: PA 180°C, PE 115 °C
- The PA monofilament becomes brittle at temperatures lower than -40 °C and its strength decreases by about 20 %.
- After a product has got stabilized at normal temperature, the strength gets to its original level.
- When exposed to ultraviolet radiation, the material gets brittle and loses its strength.
- The PA monofilament extends itself from 1 to 4 %, depending on increasing humidity of the monofilament.
- This effect has to be taken into account when the material is applied in environments with unstable humidity.
The most frequent usage of monofilament fabrics – sieve cloths in practice
- sand quarries (fine sand filtration)
- agriculture and forestry (trapping nets, catching of forest ravagers, cloth for silo towers, cloths for poppy seed drying, filters for wells, vegetable sacks, etc)
- food industry (benches for proofing rooms, window nets, vegetable sacks, etc)
